Nearly One Billion Go to Bed Hungry

It would be the tragedy of all tragedies if we did not have enough food in the world to feed everyone.  Fortunately, that is not the case . . . there IS enough food for everyone.  The problem is that the food is not getting to those who need it due to distribution issues, inefficiencies, and economics.  The good news is that we can fix these things.

The World Bank put out the following video, which seems a little ominous through the first couple of minutes . . . probably because it is a very serious crisis being faced by the 1 billion people who go to bed hungry each day.  However, the final minute reflects the real hope in overcoming this issue through "Putting Food First".

What can an individual do?

Be aware.

Help where you can.
