Ending Childhood Hunger

When I was a kid I would hear a phrase like "ending childhood hunger" and starving kids in Africa would insistently come to mind.  However, as this video shows, hunger knows no boundaries.  Hunger is everywhere, and it is even a big problem in USA and Canada.

The thing is we CAN end childhood hunger, and hunger of every kind.  There is enough food in the world, and we have all the resources necessary to get the food where it is needed.  More importantly, we have the ability to increase food production, particularly in small rural holdings where it is needed most.  So what has to change to make it happen?  We need to wake up to the reality, and make it a priority.  We need to decide that anyone anywhere being hungry is totally unacceptable.

While this video was originally posted in 2009, statistics show that the number of people living in poverty in the USA has INCREASED since then.  We need to let leaders know that this is a top priority.

Hey!! I'm That Poverty Guy . . . let's make a world of difference together.
